The Founders

Tam’ra…
Hails from Jamaica, then moved on to New York, Atlanta, New Jersey and now Houston.  She did her undergrad studies at Georgia Tech (Go Jackets!) and received her MBA from the illustrious Emory University.  She gets her paychecks from marketing a prominent Texas hospital system, but spends many days helping out with the Houston Area Georgia Tech Club and volunteering at Bo’s Place.  During a trip to Orlando to visit one of her best friends, she participated in a community service activity with Charity Chicks Orlando and was instantly sold on bringing the idea to Houston.  She is the "left-brained" side of the operation.

Random Fact…She is terrified of dogs...even 18 lb Chihuahuas.

Jayme…
Virginia is for Hustlers.  That’s what Jayme says of her hometown.  Her typical pattern of residence was to move every couple years…that is, until she met Houston, TX.  Jayme did her undergrad at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia (Final Four ring a bell?) and double majored in Advertising and Business Management.  She also recently started the Houston Alum Chapter for Mason.  Corporate America has taken her from D.C. to South Florida, back to Virginia Beach, and finally here in Houston to focus on marketing and sales for a growing medical group.  She owns the worlds largest teacup Chihuahua (weighing in at 18 lbs), is a freelance writer for a number of Houston magazines and lives for blogging.  She is proud to be a nerd...and to be the official "right brain" of Charity Chicks Houston.

Random Fact…She is terrified of stairs.
