Chicky de Mayo
Happy Cinco de Mayo! If you're receiving this newsletter then you are
one hell of a do-gooder and deserve a cold cerveza today! We've got
lots of good news but in the spirit of the "holiday" we'll keep it
short and sweet.
Thanks for all your support while Jayme was away on the Road Show...what
an experience. Once she catches up on LIFE, she will recap it all on
the blog. Check out the funny videos if you're bored...true story -
Jayme didn't know brown cows existed. Oops.
You're smart, remember. So don't drink and drive today after your cinco
celebrations. Walk or call a friend for a ride. Or better yet, call
Yellow Cab 713.236.1111.
Cheers

Show Some Love for 002Houston Magazine
Be
sure to pick up the May issue of hometown favorite 002houston Mag and
check out the non-profit feature on Charity Chicks on page 26. We had
the cool opportunity to chat about how the group started and what we've
been doing the past year and a half. If you haven't heard our story,
please be sure to read up. We're pretty proud of it. Thanks to Jade for
the great write up and Sofia van der Dys for the fun photo shoot. They
have us pictured with lots of candy, which is tres suitable. |

a powder puff football game on May 15th to raise money and awareness
for Alzheimer's Disease. It's too late to sign up for the game, but you
can still buy tickets and help fundraise. |

June 12 - Footloose
The time has almost come to take it back to 1985 with us and let the
dancing get dirty, the pink get pretty and the foot run crazy loose at
our 80s roller skating party (June 12th, 10pm, Dairy Ashford Roller
Rink). The event benefits loveisrespect.org (National Teen Dating
Violence hotline and the same organization that aired a PSA
against violence on MTV after the infamous Snooki punch on Jersey Shore. Check out their site to see all that they do. And to the TX proud...the national hotline is based out of Austin, TX. |

April 17 - Who's Your Doggy
Pictures courtesy of the wonderful and creatively talented Kasey Marsh of Monkey Tree Photography.
Thanks to all the muts and members that came out to The Lot on Saturday, April 17th. We had a blast and most of the dogs got along while we raised $700 for Texas Hearing and Service Dogs. For pet owners who attended, if you'd like to download a free, high resolution version your pup's photo, please email Monkey Tree Photography for web gallery access and usage instructions.
If you're looking for a place to grab a beer for Cinco de Mayo or anytime this weekend, please visit The Lot on Washington as our way of saying thanks for their help with this event. |
