| Victoria's Secret Ain't Got Nothin' On These Bras! The BRA ART contest has been open for a few weeks and we are in L.O.V.E with some of the ideas we've heard, but we're girls and WE WANT MORE. Houston is bustling with creative people everywhere and we want them to be a part of this! Scratch that...we want all the creative people, all the people with good hearts that may not be as crafty as they'd like, and even the folks outside of Houston! We've had some out of towners sign up for the contest....all they have to do is mail the bra to us! Just to explain how easy AND fun this is.... Sign up here, donate $30, start brainstorming some ideas and get your creativity on. Thinking you want to get your BRA ART on but not sure? Try one of these fun activities to decorate it: -You've been meaning to plan a girl's night, right? Get some vino, a bedazzler or whatever supplies you need and go to town! -Make it a family activity with the kids and create it in honor of a loved one. -At your next book club or sorority alumni chapter meeting, have everyone bring some supplies and chat about the book or your normal agenda while you craft away. - Get your friends at work involved and get your decorate on in a conference room or in someone's office during lunch or after hours If for some silly reason you still don't think you're creative enough to make BRA ART, here are a few ways you can still help (and we need it!): -Post a message/link on FB and encourage your other friends to do it (same with twitter or other social networking sites) -Send an email to some of your closest friends, your artsy friends...even your co-workers. -Know someone with glitter running through their veins? Buy their BRA ART entry for them as a gift and encourage them to get to work! -Donate a few bucks to help the cause. -Buy your tickets for the event to see the TOP 50 displayed! -Know a company that may want to donate an item for our silent auction table (or a monetary donation for recognition)? Please send them our way via chicks@charitychickshouston.com -We are also encouraging companies to design bras as a way to give back to the community. Talk to your boss or HR department about making a company or department bra.
